Am5 stuck on memory training. Hey i just bought a new 7950x3d and x670-e-e mobo, i noticed everytime i start my computer it goes in for memory training code for first 30 secs. Apr 8, 2023 · When I enable the XMP/DOCP profiles on my memory it essentially becomes a lottery if my computer will post or not and when it does it will either be absolutely fine booting into windows and any other activity but rebooting isn't an option because it will get stuck on q-code 46 and I have to force a shutdown in order to fix this. Dec 16, 2023 · Needing help with troubleshooting a new am5 build. I read elsewhere this may be a buggy BIOS doing memory training on every boot. Upon BIOS update prepping for the X3D processor, I noticed the issue went away completely, but then remembered that the EXPO oc was also cleared with the BIOS update, resulting in no memory training sequence at boot. Also, you may need to disable memory context restore on the current BIOS for this configuration. My 6000 Mhz memory was perfectly stable before this update, but the default has it set to Auto. I suspect a faulty mobo. It's like it's failing to initialize the memory / memory training, but only when being rebooted. Sure enough, resetting the RAM to 6000mhz brought the issue back. This option may have a different name depending on the board you are using, but you can try enabling it to reduce the time spent training the memory.
